Launch of One of a Kind

NCPD announces the launch of its new book One of a Kind. The Launch will be held on Thursday May 14, 2015 at 5 p.m. at the National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS), Hart and Abercromby Streets, Port of Spain. Guests are asked to be seated by 4.45 p.m. The book documents the history and work of the National Centre for Persons with Disabilities as a leading agency serving the sector of people with disabilities in Trinidad & Tobago and the wider Caribbean Sub-Region. It was produced in honour of the Centre's 50th Anniversary which it celebrated on December 5, 2014. The Centre looks forward to the impact that this book will have in documenting the progress of national service to the sector of people with disabilities. As such, it is very pleased to launch One of a Kind in this quarter.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

NCPD will host its Annual General Meeting on Thursday June 25, 2015 at 5 p.m. at City Hall, San Fernando. The organizational leadership looks forward to meeting with all major stakeholders at this annual meeting to review the achievements of the past year, analyze our challenges and set the tone for the way forward. We anticipate a productive and successful meeting.

Boat Ride

Party people: all hands on deck – and dancing feet too! NCPD announces its second annual offshore event, We Boat Ride 2 aboard the elegant Coral Vision – an exciting evening of mouth-watering local cuisine, signature drinks, family, friends – and non-stop fun! Fabulous door prizes! Bring your cooler! Music by Iwer George, Anslem Douglas and DJ Black Gold & GOG Crew. This luxury sail is on Saturday June 27, 2015 and boarding begins at 5 p.m. at the Breakfast Shed. The vessel sets sail at 6 p.m. and returns at 10 p.m. Transport from NCPD’s Compound in San Fernando leaves at 3.30 p.m. at a cost of $50 (return).

The ship won’t dock till the last song play – so don’t miss this event!
